Mr. Fahsig, was born on October 14, 1900 in Mönchengladbach (Germany) as first
son to Otto and Elise Fahsig (née Schnitzler). He attended high school
in Mönchengladbach. In 1918, at the end of the first world
war he and his sister, Helmine, lost their mother. In that difficult
post-war period his life in the work force began. From 1935
onward, he was busy with the trade and production of chemical
products. His father (died March 22,1937) now concerning himself
with the production of colours and paintwork could stand by him in
many things with advice and action.
Also the maternal grandfather, Mr. Schnitzler, was a
factory owner. In 1888, he began making protective gear for the industrial industry.
For example, protective gloves for welders. So it´s no accident that
chemical products for the working protection was later the emphasis
of the company, Otto Fahsig.
